For a second opinion specifically, that structure is the whole argument. We don't operate a surgical practice, an oncology service, or any treatment line. There is no procedure at the end of our report.

What This Service Is — and Isn't
Before You Send Your Images
No. That's the point of the service. We work from the images you already have, so there's no additional radiation, no additional contrast, and no additional scan time.
Three ways: secure upload, bringing or mailing a disc to 110 E 60th Street, or signing a release authorizing us to request the study from the facility that performed it. We need the images themselves, not just the written report.
Usually not. Most plans won't pay a second professional interpretation of the same study. We've set a flat self-pay fee so you know the cost before we begin, and we'll provide documentation if you'd like to submit to your plan yourself.

Yes, with one honest caveat. Ultrasound is acquired in real time by the person holding the probe, so a second reader is limited to the images that were captured. If the area of concern wasn't imaged well, a repeat study may serve you better than a re-read. We'll say so if that's the case.
We report what we see, clearly, and we go through it with you. If our reading differs meaningfully from the original, we'll explain where and why in plain language, and send the report to your physician so the difference can be worked through clinically.
